Dedicated to the Sony a9 III and a1 II mirrorless cameras, the VG-C5 Vertical Grip offers both extended battery and a more comfortable grip when shooting in the vertical orientation. The grip accepts either one or two NP-FZ100 batteries to increase the effective battery life for longer shooting sessions, and the batteries can be charged in the grip while attached to the camera via the body’s USB port. Compared to previous-generation vertical grips, the VG-C5 also has refined circuitry that supports parallel power supply to provide even longer effective operation times and and the remaining battery life for both batteries can be indicated on the camera display.

The grip’s design maintains the same layout as the camera body itself, and includes a secondary shutter button and Multi-Selector for intuitive use, as well as a secondary C5 front custom button. The grip is built from magnesium alloy and is dust and moisture resistant to match the weather-sealing of the camera itself.

Thanks to the wireless camera connection and ergonomic design, you’ll find the shooting grip comfortable to use, with key camera controls right under your thumb. You can also transform the grip into a mini tripod and detach the remote commander, allowing seamless camera operation even at a distance – perfect for fixed composition and group shots.

If you pre-assign a frequently used function to the camera’s AF-ON or C1 button, pressing the corresponding button on the remote commander provides the same function, allowing you to customise the controls to suit your shooting requirements.

This battery adaptor can load four NP-FZ100 Z-series batteries and supports extended shooting.

Supply power to a camera compatible with Z- or W-series2 battery

This Multi Battery Adaptor Kit can connect and supply electric power to a camera that uses either an NP-FZ100 Z-series or NP-FW50 W-series2 battery. By removing the cover for Z-series battery (figure [A]), the power plate (figure [B]) fits cameras compatible with W-series battery.

Quickly charges NP-FZ100 batteries

This battery adaptor can quickly charge up to four NP-FZ100 Z-series batteries3 via AC adaptor within about 480 minutes4. Power charge condition is indicated in a 3-level LED when the “remaining battery power” check button is pressed.

Select power supply or battery charge

DC OUT/CHARGE switch placed at the center of the control panel allows you to choose either supplying power from the batteries or charging the batteries.

Equipped with two USB ports for power output

Camera/USB selector enables switching between DC OUT destinations to let you choose to supply electrical power to either the camera body or other electronic devices connected via USB ports.5

Setting flexibility for varied shooting scenes

This battery adaptor provides three screw sockets on both top and bottom of the unit (a total of 6 sockets), allowing a flexible rig setup using a mounting plate and screws.

Turn into a more compact size

If you remove battery protector and put battery port covers into place, Multi Battery Adaptor turns into a smaller easy-to-carry adaptor for two batteries.
