The Ricoh GR III is the wide-angle camera of the GR III and GR IIIx pair, with an initial focal length of 28 mm (equivalent to 35 mm full-frame). The GW-4 wide-angle attachment extends the focal length to 21 mm (equivalent to 35 mm full-frame) for even more exciting and exhilarating shooting.
 

Included with the GW-4 is a carrying case, as well as a lens hood.

The GA-1 adapter is required for use. The GW-4 is not compatible with the GR IIIx

TELE CONVERSION LENS GT-2 for GR IIIx

GT-2 Tele Conversion Lens to extend the focal length. Combined with resolution reduction, this extends the focal length up to 105mm (equivalent to 35mm full frame).

Unlike the GR III, the focal length of the GR IIIx is not quite as wide-angle, which is why we offer the GT-2, a telephoto attachment as an accessory for the GR IIIx. It extends the focal length to 60 mm. With a lower resolution, the focal length can be extended to 75 mm (15 MP) or even to 107 mm (7.5MP).

To use the GT-2 on a GR IIIx, the GA-2 adapter is required. The GA-2 is not compatible with the GR III, so the GT-2 cannot be used there either.

Why is the 1.25x?

The 1.25x is one of the most classic squeeze factors used by popular anamorphic lenses like Panavision. In addition to creating a 25% increase in the horizontal field of view, the 1.25x squeeze has two other advantages.

2x Constant Squeeze

Screw the SIRUI 1.25x adapter onto the 1.6x anamorphic to achieve a 2x squeeze. With a higher squeeze comes more noticeable anamorphic characteristics, for example, the thinner bokeh and shallower depth of field.

The 2x squeeze allows more information to be included into the frame, giving vou more flexibility to reframe in post.

Approx. 16:9 Common Aspect Ratio

Most professional digital cameras, such as ARRI, use 4:3 sensors. When a1.25x anamorphic adapter is used on these cameras, the image can be directly desqueezed to an approx. 16:9 aspect ratio, which is a universal format for modern commercials, TVCS, etc.

Using the 1.25x adapter on spherical lenses and shooting 16:9 will result in a 20:9 aspect ratio, which allows you to play videos in full screen on smartphones

Super Easy To Use

STEP 1

Screw the adapter onto the base lens. Make sure the logo and the button face straightly upwards.

STEP 2

Set the base lens and the adapter at infinity and use only the adapter to focus. Fine-tune the focus ring of the base lens if the subject is not in focus.

STEP 3

If the lens flares do not appear horizontal, you can overlay the gridlines on the camera screen, push the button, and fine-tune the adapter until the flares become horizontal.

STEP 4

Rotate the adapter to remove it (Do not push the button).*A stepping ring should be attached to the front of the base lens if the lens doesn’t have an 82mm filter thread.
