The LP-284C carbon tripod from Leofoto is part of the Poseidon tripod series. The tripods in this series have unique features that make them ideal for frequent use on the coast or in riverbeds. The LP-284C has four leg sections and reaches a maximum working height of 129 cm. The minimum working height of this tripod is only 16 cm, which is great for working close to the ground. Despite its low weight of only 1.62 kilograms, it has a load capacity of 10 kilograms.

The LH-30 ballhead has a load capacity of 15 kilograms. This is achieved by the large ball diameter of 30 millimetres, which is manufactured with a tolerance of 0.01 millimetres. This allows the ballhead to easily move and securely clamp even heavy loads. The ballhead itself weighs only 310 grams.

The base diameter of the ball head is 47 millimetres and its height is 78 millimetres. It is connected to the tripod via a 3/8-inch photo thread.

All Leofoto carbon tripod legs are made of 10-layer carbon material. This promises high stability with low weight and, in addition, high corrosion resistance.

Leofoto uses high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloy components for the metal parts. This corrosion-resistant material is characterised by high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to that of structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Leofoto makes no compromises here either !

The column base has a diameter of 1.5″ and an integrated 3/8″-16 threaded socket, and the top platform features a spring-loaded 3/8″-16 threaded tip that can be slid down to reveal a 1/4″-20 threaded tip, making it compatible with virtually any tripod head.

The Leofoto LH-LR Series Ball Head is a great support solution in a small form factor for all general photography, and will give you fast and accurate control and solid support of your camera or lens. Aiming and horizon leveling can be accomplished as one instinctive motion, and rigid lockup takes just a quick twist of one control. Since the ball head profile is smaller and lacks the protruding handles, they are also much easier to carry and pack. These are no-nonsense heads with robust capacity, offering minimal weight and elegant simplicity. They excel as ground-level macro tools, but also as super light heads for backpacking, travel, and table top use.
